Flipped my FSLR pre-earnings straddle for peanuts yesterday, was surprised IV was relatively low heading into that report. Of course with the benefit of hindsight, the straddle was cheap as it was going for about +/- 8.5%, and now the stock is down 15%. Also traded an ill-fated HRL 50 strike straddle after chasing the opening rip, watched stock flatlined. Ate a 16% loss in that one.
