Wed 01 July 2020 Morning Notes

I know I say this every month, but I can't believe it's already July and the start of Q3. Wild! I know I promised myself I wasn't going to trade yesterday because I was quite content with my pnl for the month of June... but, I couldn't pass up the vol opportunity in WKHS options. I was able to put on the July 17.5/30 1x2 call spread at a net .40 credit, then 2hrs later sell the same spread for a .35 credit, capturing a per-spread profit of .75. I'll be damned if I couldn't have sold it for .70 an hour later though. If I were French, I'd probably say something like "C'est la vie"... but I'm not, I'm American, so I'd rather quote Joe Walsh, "I can't complain but sometimes I still do".
