Tuesday Feb 3 Outlook: $SPLS $SSYS $UPS $CLF

SPLS is popping 10% in the pre-mkt on a WSJ report that it's in advanced talks with ODP for a merger.  ODP is up 15% in the pre on the news.

SSYS is getting chopped 25% in the pre-mkt after cutting FY14 guidance and FY15 outlook.

UPS UPS, -0.31%  posted profits that fell well short of expectations Tuesday. The CEO David Abney said the company would take actions to “improve profitability and increase operational efficiencies.” and noted that “financial results were below our expectations.”

Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. CLF, -1.87%  surged 13% ahead of the bell after it reported adjusted fourth-quarter earnings of $1 a share on revenue of $1.3 billion. Analysts expected 13 cents a share on revenue of $1.2 billion.
