Alibaba BABA, -8.30%  posted fiscal third-quarter earnings that beat analysts estimates, but sales came in weaker than expected at the Chinese e-commerce giant.

Facebook Inc. FB, +0.20%   reported a fourth-quarter net income of $701 million, or 25 cents a share, compared with a year-earlier profit of $523 million, or 20 cents. Excluding one-time items, Facebook said it earned 54 cents, topping the 48 cents forecast by analysts.

Qualcomm Inc. QCOM, -6.78%  reported its fiscal first-quarter adjusted earnings per share rose to $1.34 from $1.26 a year ago. Revenue rose 7% to $7.1 billion, above analyst forecasts of $6.95 billion.

Dow Chemical Co. DOW, -2.58%   posted fourth-quarter profit that beat Wall Street expectations and offered an upbeat outlook for 2015.
